Putnam County District Attorney Adam Levy
Prosecuting Without Fear or Favor Since 2008
The fair and impartial administration of justice is the bedrock of this office.
The office of the Putnam County District Attorney continues to strive for excellence by upholding the public’s trust in the pursuit of justice and the equal enforcement of the law.
D.A. Levy and his staff accomplish their mission each day by prosecuting cases without fear or favor – because in Putnam County no one is above the law and no one is below its protections.
“While we originally requested and would have preferred a sentence that allowed Mr. Bennett the opportunity to address his addiction issues and lead a law-abiding life, he chose to do just the opposite ,” District Attorney Adam Levy said. “Therefore, in order to protect the Putnam County Community from his continued criminal conduct, Mr. Bennett is going straight to where he belongs- prison.”
The Putnam Valley PTA, PTSA, School District and Putnam County District Attorney’s Office teamed up to present “Putnam Valley Community Stands Together,” an evening of discussion and education about the heroin and opiate addiction epidemic that is impacting the area at an alarming rate.
“Never in recent memory has there been such a vicious and violent crime against one of Putnam’s own, a child. What he did to Josie Wright and to her family is unconscionable and unforgivable,” Putnam County District Attorney Adam Levy said. “DiPippo is in jail where he belongs, and if there’s any justice he’ll take his last breath in that cell.”
